Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have confirmed their plans to tie the knot, after Ange was spotted with a rock on a telling finger.
There is no date set at the moment, but a rep for the actor revealed that the arrangement is “a promise for the future”.
Brad’s manager told CNN: “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future, and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring.”
It will be the second marriage for Pitt, who was previously joined in matrimony to Jennifer Aniston for five years, and it will be the third for Jolie, who wed Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton.
Speculation that the couple got engaged has been rife over recent months, but this is the first time that they have been officially acknowledged by representatives.
The couple has six children, including three biological children together, two of whom are twins. Pitt adopted two of Jolie’s children and they together adopted a boy from Vietnam.
A jeweler had earlier claimed to have helped Brad design the ring, prompting the news to be confirmed tonight.
